Abstract

Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) is a common disorder witha lifetime prevalence of 6.1% and a 1-year prevalence of 2.9% inone large study.[1]It occurs most commonly in the 45 - 55-yearage group with women twice as likely as men to have GAD.[1]
